Its business portfolio includes products for heating, cooling, water and waste management, and specialty chemicals. The company also designs, builds, and commissions large boilers for steam and power generation, turnkey power plants, industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants, waste heat recovery systems, and air pollution control projects.

Problem in Brief & Analysis
In 2011 we were approached by Thermax for recruitment and out sourcing of manpower at one of their Operations & Management sites based in industrial area of Madhya Pradesh – Dewas.
This involved management of multiple aspects of HR:
Solution of The Problem
BULK HIRING – Recruitment had to be done in a short span for their need of making the site operational within a particular time span. Walk-in interviews were arranged at the site location where sourcing was required to be done from multiple sources like local newspaper ads, references, online sourcing, etc. Handling of the walk-ins and creation of the required database for current & ongoing needs were managed.
COMPLIANCES UNDER FACTORIES ACT & STATE LAWS – Since the O&M site is located in a manufacturing facility, many compliances under the factories Act needed to be adhered to like Labour license, Registers, Insurance, etc for the manpower. Also, location-specific State Laws pertaining to Contractual manpower were to be complied with.
REMOTE LOCATION OF SITE OF WORK – Usually the O&M sites are at industrial areas which are at a distance from the major cities like Dewas, Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh, Rabale, Roha, Taloja, Boisar, Ambernath in Maharashtra, Dahej, Surat, Ankleshwar in Gujrat. This brings the challenge of servicing the requirements. Kaapro has been able to manage this with its monthly site visits, employee support through helpline nos. and prompt backend support at the site.
