The Business:
Here outsourcing services, the case is about an autonomous, not-for-profit sector, an association of Electrical industries & Utilities. It is a premier Electrical & Power sector Research & Development Organization of the nation providing critical services to the Power Sector in the technical areas of “Testing & Evaluation”, “Field Services”, and “R&D and Expert Services”.
The Problem:
Our client wanted to hire approx. 100 candidates (BE and Diploma) for a project. Now the challenges were –
- The project was to be made operational in a short time span. Hence the hiring was to be completed within one month.
- Duration of the project was for six months only.
- And we had to ensure that every candidate who joins the project should not leave before the completion of the project duration of six months. (i.e. Client wanted to have 100% compliance)
Solution:
After analyzing the situation, we suggested our client to opt for our expert Outsourcing services for Recruitment and Staffing of candidates for their upcoming project.
- To recruit all the required candidates within the prescribed time limit, our team members used unconventional methods to speed up the hiring process.
- To review the project, Kaapro’s consultants visited the client’s district-level office; where the hired candidates were supposed to be based.
- We offered the client organization’s officials a consultancy for Process Improvement along with constant Feedback to execute the project properly. For which, we received their full support.
- As agreed (under our Outsourcing Service Contract), the hired candidates worked on the payroll of Kaapro Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd., with whom we had done six months agreement to work for the aforesaid project.
- As promised to the client, we ensured 100% Retention Ratio for the project, by maintaining Statutory Compliance in Payroll (which includes monthly salary processing, expense reimbursement, PF, ESIC. PT, Labor License, Exit formalities and many more).
- Thus we provided these recruited candidates (mostly freshers) temporary employment for 6 months, wherein they learnt a lot of things during this project and gained valuable on-site experience. Plus the candidates received an experience letter from Kaapro (with a mention of their working on this Project).
- With our expertise for project-based recruitment – staffing and consultancy services, our client was able to successfully complete the project on time.
While dealing with the manifold challenges of this project, we learnt that outsourcing is not a complex process; until it is associated with the conditions like timing, compliance etc.
